Keeping Your Power ® for Parents is a course specifically designed for birthers who are needing more insight on how to communicate with their care team during pregnancy, labor,and birth. Traci has provided doula care through her birth work practice, Maternal Instincts, as a Certified Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Birthroom Advocacy Trainer. She has served her local Montgomery, Alabama, River Region community for 24 years and with great excitement has extended her expertise and trainings nationwide. Her focus has been to support and educate pregnant and birthing families with evidence-based information while uncovering and building their confidence in their own beliefs. Traci has had firsthand exposure to the challenges many families face as they try to navigate their childbirth experiences with inadequate support and a lack of confidence in their own decision making. Traci carries a deep conviction that those caring for families have a fundamental responsibility to stop trauma before it begins. These convictions are taught in her core concepts of “Keeping Your Power®”. Traci believes providers and support people who commit to empower themselves, overcome self-doubt, hold themselves accountable and remain teachable can build stronger teams and help patients find their power in their birth preparation resulting in more satisfying birth outcomes for the entire team. She has further invested in families as a Spinning Babies ® Parent Educator and is sharing “Keeping Your Power” concetps for birthing persons to empower consumers to responsibility for their births and being proactive in the process. As Traci continues to support families in this incredibly transformative period of their lives, she also strongly desires for the commitment of providers to be strong as they find their power and fully embrace their responsibility to reduce trauma with boldness.
